Shelter Bed Space in Tulsa at Love and Rescue

Sleeping in a car, on a friend's couch, or outside wears a person down fast. Love & Rescue Independent Living offers bed space in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for people without a place to stay. The bed is where the rest of our work begins, and asking for one starts with a single phone call.

Small bunk bedroom with four beds, blue rug, chair, and window view of trees.

What Bed Space Means Here

A bed at Love and Rescue is not the end goal. It is the ground floor of a longer climb toward a place of your own. That is how Love & Rescue Independent Living approaches shelter: bed space first, with counseling and life skills there for the work that follows, so the time spent here counts toward something.

Shelter that only solves the night tends to put people right back where they started. Sleeping in the same place, night after night, does something different. It lets someone stop spending every waking hour figuring out where they will end up after dark, and put that energy toward a job search, a doctor's visit, or a call to family.

Making the Most of Your Stay

Once you have a bed, the rest of what Love and Rescue offers is within reach. Counseling services give you room to talk through what brought you here and what feels most pressing. Our life skills support prepares you for the responsibilities that come with having your own address again.

A stretch of steady nights is a window. Used well, it is the time to collect documents, line up work, and plan where you will go next. None of that has to happen in the first week, though. Some days the only win is a full night of sleep, and that counts too.

Calling for Someone Else

You may be reading this for someone else: a brother, a coworker, a neighbor you have seen sleeping outside. Pass along the number, or call it yourself with them beside you. If they do not have a phone, writing the number on something they carry is a small step that can matter later.
